Staff shared reading strategies used in their class in an effort to develop a common approach and language across K-6. Junior Primary staff focused predominately on decoding strategies, while middle and upper were more focused on comprehension. While different mnemonics were used, all covered the range of strategies identified in the First Steps resources.
